Raindrop Technique
Raindrop Technique is a Young Living Essential Oil
technique based on dropping the essential oils used
through the individuals aura. The art and practice
derives directly from the heart and soul of D. Gary
Young. The Raindrop Certification course is based
only on his techniques. These gifts of creation follow
a true path to mutual well being, and with Raindrop
nothing stands between us and the bounty of
Creation's Love.
What is the value of Raindrop Technique?
When Genes are expressed it is because something has triggered the expression. What triggers it? Every cell has receptor sites that look to be "satisfied" by something. Once satisfied it stops looking. If it is satisfied by a petrochemical it blocks many natural healthy processes from occurring to the cell and it can cause aberrant cell activity. This process is the beginning of many troubles including inflammation, genetic triggering and DNA replicating factor impairment.
Phenols are compounds occurring in the "hot" essential oils. When they are at therapeutic levels in eo's (oregano, thyme, cinnamon...many others) they are specifically capable of cleaning the receptor sites and disengaging the toxins off of the receptor sites. Then the eo's continue their work by satisfying the receptor site. This is how the genetic triggers can be turned off. It is remethylzation of the receptor site.
The EO's don't have to enter the cell through ion channels. They can penetrate right through the phosphyl lipid membrane which is the cell wall. That means even if you have something locked up because of the blocked receptor sites and improper internal ph as a result, the eo's can still penetrate and effectively assist the cell to return to normal functions.
This is one major reason Raindrop Technique is so successful.

More than one in four Americans have experienced chronic pain (76.2 million people), and nine out of 10 Americans aged 18 and older suffer from some form of serious pain at least once a month with more than half (55%) of Americans aged 65 and older suffering pain every day. Fortunately, research and clinical evidence is pointing to a new approach in mild pain relief that has the potential to stop the progression of pain without side effects. Essential oils, containing hundreds of complex biochemicals have demonstrated powerful anesthetic and analgesic properties.
The great complexity of most essential oils is that they contain both calming and stimulating biochemicals to varying degrees. Pain relief studies with essential oils have focused on those oils most likely to have anesthetic and analgesic effects, based on the molecules they contain. The following 10 essential oils emerge consistently in research, in clinical use and in traditional use as having pain relief properties. They have consistently produced responses in the human body that reduce local pain while at the same time altering the functioning of the nervous system to minimize the perception of pain. Interestingly, all of these oils have anti-inflammatory properties, suggesting that the mechanisms of pain and inflammation are linked and are addressed simultaneously by essential oils.
Clove
Approved by the American Dental Association as a dental anesthetic, clove oil has been used for decades to minimize pain in teeth and gums. Its molecules are so active that topical application can produce an immediate, mild, numbing sensation on sensitive areas. Studies have shown that clove contain significant amounts of eugenol, which has been shown to be a COX-2
inhibitor, so clove oil relieves pain in a manner similar to Celebrex or the now
withdrawn Vioxx medications, but without risk of heart disease.
Balsam Fir
Like most conifer oils, balsam fir essential oil contains significant quantities of alpha and beta pinenes—monoterpenes that are intermediates for camphor and menthol. Pinene provides a soothing, growing effect that can also be anesthetic, particularly for muscular and skeletal pain, so it is often used in massage. It also has significant anti-inflammatory properties and has been used to relieve pain from throat and lung infections, arthritis and back pain since Biblical times.
Peppermint
With its high content of menthol, peppermint has a strong cooling effect on pain and inflammation and can be particularly useful on local pain caused by bruises, scrapes or other wounds on the extremities. It is consistently effective for headache pain because it reduces the perception of pain while simultaneously increasing mental sharpness. Studies at the University of Cincinnati found that inhaling peppermint oil increased mental accuracy by 28%!
Lavender
Lavender is the "Swiss Army Knife" of essential oils because it has so many useful properties and can be used in so many situations. Known for its soothing and relaxing influence on the human psyche, lavender also has profound tissue regeneration and wound healing properties that are especially evident in burns. It is also anti-inflammatory and has been shown to have analgesic properties, meaning it deadens or relieves physical pain without reducing mental acuity.
Copal
Copal comes from a resinous tree that grows in Central America. Its history and use are very similar to frankincense. Mesoamerican cultures used the oil for toothache pain, much like clove, and for rheumatism and to fight infections. Copal has a very high content (as high as 50%) of beta-caryophyllene, a sesquiterpene also found in clove, rosemary, and frankincense. Beta-Caryophyllene was shown in a 2001 study to have strong anesthetic properties and may explain, in part, copal's effectiveness as a pain reliever.
Wintergreen
Unique among essential oils for its high content of methyl salicylate (a compound closely related to aspirin), wintergreen is one of the most powerful anti-inflammatories among all the essential oils and is frequently incorporated into liniments and ointments for muskoskeletal pain. It can be particularly helpful with arthritic/rheumatic pain when topically applied, because of its combined anti-inflammatory analgesic and anesthetic effects.
Nutmeg
Like wintergreen, nutmeg is an unusually powerful anti-inflammatory oil. As such it will bring relief to pain resulting from inflammation, whether it be from arthritis, rheumatism, fever, infection or injury. Externally, the oil is commonly used for rheumatic pain. Like clove oil, nutmeg can be applied as an emergency treatment to relieve toothache. Additionally, a massage oil can be created with nutmeg by diluting one part nutmeg in four parts pure vegetable oil. This is effective when used for muscular pains associated with rheumatism or overexertion. It blends well with marjoram or rosemary essential oils.
Rosemary
From ancient times, rosemary has been known and used as a remedy for a long list of conditions, including pain. It contains molecules that are known to alleviate arthritic and rheumatic pain. It is analgesic and mildly anesthetic, in addition to its antibacterial and antifungal properties. Its aroma is a mental stimulant and has been shown to improve memorization and learning. It also has a stimulating influence on the limbic and adrenal systems.
Marjoram
Marjoram's effect in relieving muscle pain has been recognized since long before the time of Christ. It was known and used by the Romans and Greeks and has been referenced in the oldest medicine compilations. It is researched and recognized for both
its ability to relieve pain and it's ability to calm the nerves at the same time as an analgesic and a sedative. Its action stimulates the capillaries and clears muscles of toxic waste making it ideal for use on sore muscles. But it also has more penetrating influences that can relieve the pain of arthritis or rheumatism. Like other pain-relieving essential oils, marjoram has strong anti-inflammatory properties. Conveniently, marjoram also has significant antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties, so it bolsters the immune system against colds, coughs and infections, as it relieves pain.
Helichrysum
Helichrysum is possibly the most effective essential oil for pain relief, because it supports the regeneration of nerves and nerve endings. However Helichrysum is extremely expensive oil due to the very limited yield and limited crop production. Because of its high price and limited availability it is sometimes not mentioned in regular pain relief protocols. However, when it is available—even in small quantities—it can be blended with other pain relieving oils to create powerful results. Only the very finest pain relief blends contain this essential oil.

Essential oils are the subtle, aromatic and volatile liquids extracted from the flowers, seeds, leaves, stems, bark and roots of herbs, bushes, shrubs and trees through distillation. According to ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics and Chinese manuscripts, priests and physicians were using essential oils thousands of years before Christ to heal the sick. They are the oldest form of medicine and cosmetic known to man and were considered more valuable than gold. There are hundreds of references to oils in the Bible. The wise men brought the Christ Child gold, frankincense and myrrh. (Clinical research now shows that frankincense oil contains very high immune stimulating properties.) Some of the precious oils which have been used since antiquity for anointing and healing the sick are: frankincense, myrrh, galbanum, hyssop, cassia, cinnamon and spikenard. Science is only now beginning to investigate the incredible healing substances found in essential oils.
The Frequency of Essential Oils
The effectiveness of essential oils cannot be fully understood without some discussion of frequency. Frequency is the measurable rate of electrical energy flow that is constant between any two points. Everything has frequency. Pure Essential Oils have very high frequency. Dr. Robert O. Becker in his book, The Body Electric, establishes that the human body has an electrical frequency and that much about a person's health can be determined by ones frequency. In 1992, Bruce Tainio of Tainio Technology, an independent division of Eastern State University in Cheny Washington, built the first frequency monitor in the world. Tainio has determined that the average frequency of the human body during the day time is 62-68 Hz. (A healthy body frequency is 62-72 Hz.) When the frequency drops the immune system is compromised. If the frequency drops to 58 Hz. cold and flu symptoms appear, at 55 Hz. diseases like Candida take hold, at 52 Hz. Epstein Bar, and at 42 Hz. Cancer. According to Dr. Royal Rife every disease has a frequency. He found that certain frequencies can prevent the development of disease and that others would destroy disease. Substances with higher frequency will destroy diseases of lower frequency. The study of frequencies raises an important question concerning the frequencies of substances we eat, breath, and absorb. Many pollutants lower healthy frequency. Processed/canned food has a frequency of zero. Fresh produce has up to 15 Hz., dry herbs from 12 to 22 Hz. and fresh herbs from 20 to 27 Hz. Essential oils start at 52 Hz. and go as high as 320 Hz., the frequency of Pure Rose Oil. Clinical research shows that essential oils have the highest frequency of any natural substance known to man creating an environment in which disease, bacteria, virus, fungus etc. cannot live.
Essential Oils Are Aromatic
Essential oils are highly aromatic and therefore many of the benefits can be obtained by simply inhaling them. This can be done by breathing in the fragrance from the bottle or can be diffused into the room. Essential oils when diffused can be the best air filtration system in the world. They will: (1) Purify by removing metallic particles and toxins from the air. (2) Increase atmospheric oxygen. (3) Destroy odors from mold, cigarettes and animals. (4) Fill the air with a fresh herbal aromatic scent. (5) Increase ozone and negative ions in the house which inhibits bacteria growth.
Essential Oils Penetrate
The penetrating characteristic of essential oils greatly enhances their ability to be effective. 100% Pure, Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils will penetrate into the body when applied to the skin. Essential oil placed on the feet will be distributed to every cell in the body in 21 minutes. They will even penetrate a finger or toe nail to treat fungus underneath.

Chessman Expands Use of Oils Following Certification
Sharon Chessman, CCA, N.J. CMT, RHC RYT, owner of Integrative Healing, in Sea Bright, is expanding on the use of essential oils for its energy healing benefits in her practice. The added services are bolstered partly from her recent certification in Clinical Aromatherapy from the Institute of Spiritual Healing and Aromatherapy.
The unique holistic approach she studied, approved by both National Association of Holistic Aromatherapy and the Alliance of International Aromatherapists, integrates prayer and energy healing modalities plus the science and art of the use of essential oils. Along with the anointing of essential oils and its medical benefits to try to help with emotional uplifting, she uses heart balancing, magnetic clearing, chakra balancing and other energy modalities along with nutritional advice.
Her passion for essential oils has been a hallmark in her 15 years in practice as a N.J.-certified massage therapist. She believes that therapeutic-grade essential oils help relax and soothe tense muscle tissue and ease the mind-body-spirit connection. Her studies relate that essential oils were man's first medicine and were used before biblical times for ceremony and ritual, as well as healing the sick, and it is only through the sense of smell that allows the amygdala in the brain to release emotional traumas stored there, to be released.
"Clients are just amazed how the oils work on their heart and soul," Chessman says. "It brings me joy to be a part of their healing process and seeing clients set free of their emotional trauma, whether it is a loss of a pet or loss of a childhood, sharing the ancient wisdom and science of essential oils to benefit the whole family, as well as the whole community."
